Want to like them but they are on the sweet side.
I really, really want to like these sauces. I got a variety pack of 3 of them for Christmas and have tried them all with the Super Spicy being my favorite. However, all of the sauces have a preponderance of a sweet flavor that lingers long past the taste of everything else, which unfortunately kind of ruins whatever you are eating them with. You can taste the sweetness initially and it seems to blend in well (though I'm not a huge fan of sweeter sauces when I look for something savory.) But the problem is that it's cloying, that sweetness remains after the taste, after the bite, after you swallow the food, almost like you can't get the taste of it out of your mouth afterward. This isn't what most people, nor I, really want in a sriracha sauce. And from someone who's had gouchujang as well, this isn't what I'd expect as a lingering taste from that either. Put on bibimbap, you'd expect gouchujang to have umami, some vinegar, oil and a little bit of sweetness to balance it. But added here to sriracha, it overwhelms with sweet taste. Even the Super Spicy barely moves the needle since the sweetness is overbalanced. I'd certainly try one of the sauces with MUCH lower sweet additions, but for now I'm not sure if I'll return after these three bottles.
Too sweet and not spicy
I made the the mistake of buying this stuff and I really wanted to like it, but after 3 uses I dumped the bottle in the garbage. It has a sickly sweet taste that overpowers anything you put it on, and I tried chicken, beef and fish. Plus, it is NOT hot and spicy at all. Hard pass
Flavor That Makes You Sing
I tried this 2 weeks ago for the first time and can not stop putting it on every thing. Bottle is already empty. The sweet heat of this sriracha is my new go to for all my dishes. I also tried the Hot Honey. Boom.
